Ausnindo Trophy

    Dorset Golf Club

Traditionally run as a Stableford event over three weeks, in 2007, the competition was completed on Saturday 21 April, at the Dorset Golf Course, in Croydon, Melbourne.

This year, the competition was expanded, with prizes for Men's and Ladies' Runner Up and Third Place, kindly provided by sponsorship from local companies.

President's Wrap-up

The final round of the Ausnindo event took place on Saturday 21st April, 2007, with a field of forty players.  The weather was kind during play but at the Presentation, it rained on our Parade!

All those who participated enjoyed the day and were pleased with the event being catered for the first time, we did receive positive comments.

We were very pleased to see more sponsors this year and many thanks must go to Peter Wentzki (Ausnindo's Founder & Senior Partner) for all his efforts in obtaining the increased sponsorship.

Congratulations go to the winners.  The men's section was won by Laurie Di Palma, second Garry Shaw and, for the first time, we had a third place and that was Graham Owen.  The Ladies winner was Bianca Ling, second Kelly Lehman and third was Amanda Leary.

As members would be aware, the Herald Sun came out to the course to interview Bianca, which was followed up with the local paper also running a similar article.  The Club also benefited from the report, as it increased public awareness of the Dorset Golf Club.
